In response to numerous requests, we are offering 1” wide straps but only as special order items. There will be a no refund or return policy on these items therefore it is imperative that the specifications for your special piece are correct and in print. The normal time required for manufacturing these custom pieces will be 5 to 10 working days.
Our 1” wide straps are similar to 1” belts. These 1” straps ordinarily measure approximately 15/16” across the lining side and are usually ordered by customers who have vintage or monogram cam lock buckles. The thickness, and width are critical on these straps therefore producing one is easier and less costly when we have a strap, that is designed to fit the buckle in hand. Since pass through or cam lock buckles are extremely harsh on the belt and lining, we recommend that you choose the harder smoother classic finish alligator cover and a standard or stiff lining. Because these pass through buckles tend to cut the stitching, the edges on our straps are not stitched. We use a different gluing process on the straps and to date have never had a cover separate from the lining. This combination of a stiffer lining and no stitching will extend the life of these straps. The finished strap will have a similar profile to the red belt as seen in the alligator belts for ladies section. Your special order strap will be shipped without a buckle.
